Location of the Casa do Girassol

  
Our private holiday apartment „Casa do Girassol“ is in the holiday village of Quinta Velha close to the old fishing village of Cabanas and about 6km (3.7miles) east of Tavira. Faro airport is only 40km (24.8 miles) away.

The Atlantic is a 10 minutes walk from the Casa do Girassol. There is a supermarket and several other shops including a bakery and butcher within a few minutes walk.

Every morning there is a market in Cabanas, which provides you with anything from fresh vegetables, fruit, honey and other local produce.
There is a bank in the village of Cabanas and a cash machine  opposite the holiday village parking lot.
  
The sandy beaches of the unspoiled Cabanas Island (Ilha de Cabanas) are perfect for sunbathing, swimming, playing, walking and relaxing. You can reach this island within 5 minutes by boat, which are provided by the locals. The promenade of Cabanas is a wonderful place for a long walk and has many cafes and restaurants offering local foods.

The Benamor Benamor golf course , built in 2000, is 1km (0.62miles) away from our holiday apartment.

The nearest train station is within 10 minutes walk from the apartment in the village of Conceicao. The trains have connections to Tavira, Olhao and Faro.
